Slawson Exploration Headquarters

New Town, ND 58763, USA

The Slawson Companies Headquarters in New Town, North Dakota was designed to support the operational demands of the region’s thriving oil and gas industry while reflecting the rugged character of the Northern Plains. Located within the heart of the Bakken formation—one of the largest oil-producing regions in the United States—New Town serves as a critical hub for energy production, field operations, and workforce coordination. This 8,100-square-foot office building, paired with an adjoining shop facility, provides a unified headquarters environment that supports both corporate leadership and field personnel in a cohesive, purpose-driven setting.

The architectural design embraces a rustic, regionally inspired aesthetic that reflects North Dakota’s agricultural roots and industrial strength. Durable materials, warm textures, and strong massing express permanence and resilience, qualities synonymous with the oil and gas sector. Internally, the layout strategically separates corporate administrative functions from operational and field-support spaces, allowing executive offices, conference rooms, and collaborative work areas to function seamlessly alongside dedicated locker rooms, equipment staging areas, and shop facilities. The result is a headquarters that balances professionalism with practicality—honoring the heritage and hard-working spirit of western North Dakota while delivering a highly functional environment tailored to the evolving needs of the energy industry.
