The PACE KC Adult Wellness Center was designed to support independence, wellness, and community for adults aged 55 and older through a welcoming, patient-centered environment. Located adjacent to the Swope Health Central Campus in Kansas City, the facility brings together primary care, rehabilitation, wellness, and social services under one roof in an all-inclusive setting.

The interior design balances warmth and durability with clean, contemporary aesthetics. Natural wood tones, soft neutral finishes, textured materials, and thoughtfully selected blue accents create an environment that feels calm, uplifting, and distinctly non-institutional. Expansive windows maximize natural daylight throughout the building, while open gathering spaces encourage social interaction and a sense of community.

Specialized spaces—including a rehabilitation gym, accessible bathing suite, exam rooms, memory care areas, activity spaces, and comfortable lounges—were carefully planned to promote dignity, accessibility, and ease of navigation. Durable materials, intuitive wayfinding, and universal design principles ensure the facility serves participants with a wide range of mobility and healthcare needs.

By integrating healthcare, therapy, wellness, and social engagement into one thoughtfully designed environment, the PACE KC Adult Wellness Center supports Swope Health's mission of helping older adults remain healthy, active, and living safely in their own homes for as long as possible.
