Homestead Country Club

Prairie Village, KS, USA

The Homestead Country Club in Prairie Village project included picking up where another design firm had started but was not engaged for finish and furniture selection. The original 1960’s era space had been renovated in multiple iterations over the years and had become dated. The facility expansion plan was underway when Bell-Knott was asked to upgrade the overall finishes to tie the aesthetics together and create a more cohesive finish and furniture scheme. The project included the selection of interior finishes, light fixtures, accessories, and furniture for the renovation and new addition spaces. Total refreshed space amounted to 18,373 SF. The spaces included the restaurant/ bar expansion to the entry lobby, new accessible restroom, locker facilities, new spinning rooms and aerobic rooms. The preference was for a more inviting and hospitable environment that would appeal to a wide range of the membership and be attractive to prospective members.
The work involved providing digital finish and furniture boards, finish and furniture plans, and finish schedules. In addition to selecting finishes and furniture, artwork and accessories were sourced and displayed throughout the space. Special finish coordination of existing material and pre-purchased flooring with the selected finish palate was a special consideration that allowed the ownership to reuse material to reduce waste and added cost.
