This project renovates an existing gymnasium on a college campus. The school, located in a mountainous area north of Los Angeles, wants a residential (or "craftsman") feel to the gym. A warm material palette of wood, stucco and stone helps to give the gym an inviting aura. The gymnasium’s gathering space boasts high vaulted ceilings with wood members that zig-zag throughout the space.
